All entering 9A students will read one book of your choice from the 9th grade reading list.

All entering 10A students will read one book of your choice from the 10th grade reading list.

All entering 10Honors students will read The Crucible by Arthur Miller AND one book of your choice from the 10th grade reading list.

AP Seminar |
All entering 10/11 AP Seminar students will read one book of your choice from the AP Seminar non-fiction list, and complete the assigned tasks.

All entering 11A students will read one book of your choice from the 11th grade reading list.

11Honors |
All entering 11Honors students will read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury AND one book of your choice from the 11th grade reading list.

All entering 11AP students will read one book from the FICTION section AND one book from the NON-FICTION section of the 11th grade list. You will also participate in the New York Times Summer Reading Contest (see attached assignment).

12Monsters

All entering 12 Monsters, Murder, and Madness students will read the assigned article "From Vampires to Zombies, the Monsters We Create Say a Lot about Us" which is found on Google Classroom. Then, choose and complete either a book, podcast, or film that ties into the ideas presented in the article.

12Monsters Honors
|
All entering 12 Monsters, Murder, and Madness Honors will read How to Read Literature Like a Professor (Revised) by Thomas Foster, AND The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

All entering 12AP students will read How to Read Literature Like a Professor (Revised) by Thomas C. Foster, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, AND one text from the AP reading list that is NOT on our list for 12AP or any other course at Old Rochester.
